What causes emergency roof leaks in Orlando
Most emergency calls come after a hard storm. Central Florida gets heavy rain almost every summer afternoon, plus tropical storms and hurricanes.
- Wind damage: shingles torn off, tiles lifted, metal trim bent back or flat roof seams pulled open
- Fallen trees and branches that crack tile or punch through the roof
- Clogged gutters, valleys or drains that let water back up under the roof
- Old pipe boots and patches that finally give out in heavy rain
- Rooftop work where an AC tech, satellite installer or other trade damaged the roof
How we handle an emergency leak
First we stop the water. That might mean a tarp, a temporary patch, sealing a seam or clearing a blocked drain. Then we document the damage with photos. Once the roof is dry, we come back and make a permanent repair backed by a written warranty.
If you don’t know where the water is getting in, we use roof leak detection to track it down. For storm damage to shingles, see shingle roof leak repair.
